March’s RISE Spotlight will explore what types of smart building functionality property developers, building owners, and tenants are looking for, and what types of solutions are delivering it.  This session will also examine the main challenges around putting these together in an integrated solution and what the most exciting startups are offering in the smart building space.

 

AVIXA Study Group for Essentials of AV Technology

March 9 (Start date), 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. SGT (Singapore)

Students enrolled in the Essentials of AV Technology online course are strongly encouraged to join the study group to deepen their knowledge. Starting on Tues., March 9, the study group will meet virtually every Tuesday across nine weeks to discuss content from the course with their peers and led by an AVIXA instructor. Each week will be dedicated to a specific content topic from the Essentials of AV Technology course.

 

InfoComm Southeast Asia GoVIRTUAL – Focus on Singapore, Phillipines, & Thailand

The InfoComm Southeast Asia 2021 program comprises multiple GoVIRTUAL events hosted over the months leading up to the 3-day dual-platform Hybrid Xperience on October 20-22, 2021. EUNIS Award for Best Overall AV‑enabled Education Space

European University Information Systems (EUNIS) will celebrate innovative applications of audiovisual technology in education with its Best Overall AV-enabled Education Space Award. The award recognizes great design where AV is an integral component of enabling education to take place in a space or campus. Applications for the award will be accepted until March 15. As an added benefit, all applicants for the EUNIS Best AV-enabled Education Space Award will also be entered into AVIXA’s AV Experience Awards program. 

 

Learning Tech Manager’s Power Hour: Presenting Your AV Requirements to the IT Team

March 22, 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. EDT

The increased use of cloud-based conferencing and collaboration solutions has a big impact on network. It’s critical for tech managers to have a higher level of knowledge of the network than ever before so they can accurately articulate their needs to the IT team. This Power Hour will discuss how to collaborate with IT professionals in order to deploy a successful AV solution on the network safely.

 

CTS Prep Distance Learning

CTS Prep Distance Learning (for Asia-Pacific time zones)

March 16-25, 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. SGT

CTS Prep can help ease nerves and boost confidence before taking the CTS exam. Over two weeks, the course instructor will deliver live lectures on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays and attendees will have access to recorded presentations. Attendees will also complete online reading and assessments to round off their exam preparation.

 

Smart Buildings Power Hour: Safety & Audio

March 24, 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. EDT

This Power Hour will explore smart building networks for audio and public safety. Experts will discuss solutions for intercom, public address, voice evacuation, emergency alerts, and sound detection solutions.
