AVIXA and Samsung Business Academy collaborate on CTS renewal gift card program.
Samsung announces Business Academy offers Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) Renewal Units (RUs) and gift cards that will cover the cost to renew their CTS, CTS-I or CTS-D.
In pro AV, the Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) program is the leading AV professional credential with more than 13,500 CTS holders worldwide. And because it is ANAB (Formerly ANSI)-accredited to the ISO 17024 standard, corporate leaders and employees can be assured it meets the highest standards for demonstrating and verifying a high-functioning skill set.
To obtain approval, CTS RU programs must feature experienced instructors with clear evidence of qualifications in the session topic.
The class must contain at least one relevant learning objective or industry- related purpose; relate to a specific exam topic area and exam level; and conclude with an assessment tool to demonstrate participants have grasped the objectives. These criteria are vigorously reviewed by AVIXA’s Certification Renewal Committee.
In order to remain current with industry knowledge and trends, AVIXA certification holders are required to renew their certification by earning a minimum of 30 CTS renewal units every three years.
RUs can be earned in a multitude of ways, including AVIXA’s own webinars online, at events worldwide like the conference program at the ISE trade show in Barcelona, and at trainings or courses held by renowned manufacturers.
With its Business Academy, Samsung is offering four courses for video professionals that combine cutting edge knowledge with the opportunity to earn between 2-5 RUs. The Samsung Business Academy will also grant the first 100 attendees gift cards that will cover the cost to renew their CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D.

The four RU certified courses at the Samsung Business Academy include Indoor LED Signage Master, Indoor LED Signage Expert, THE WALL Master, and THE WALL Expert.
The RU-approved training courses are designed to enrich partners with the knowledge to properly install, service, and maintain Samsung LED Display products. Samsung Business Academy includes a training portfolio that covers all Samsung Display professional products and solutions.
